Phoenix Air Group Recognized for Meeting the Highest Standards in Medical Transport Through 2028
July 2025
CAMTS (Commission on Accreditation of Medical Transport Systems) accreditation is something you earn—not simply awarded. It's a voluntary, rigorous process that demonstrates a transport service meets or exceeds specific standards for quality and safety in medical transport.
To earn CAMTS accreditation, a program must:
-
Undergo a comprehensive self-assessment and submit documentation
-
Participate in an on-site survey conducted by CAMTS surveyors
-
Show compliance with the CAMTS standards, which are evidence-based and regularly updated
Once accredited, a program must continue to uphold those standards and go through reaccreditation every three years to maintain the designation.
Phoenix Air Group (Phoenix Air Medical) is proud to earn national accreditation - again. Demononstrating our continued commitment to patient safety and quality care.

Phoenix Air Group Adds BabyPod 20 to Fleet, Enhancing Infant Transport Capabilities
June 2025
Phoenix Air Medical is proud to announce the addition of the Babypod 20 infant transport device to our medical air transport capabilities. This specialized equipment provides a secure, thermally regulated environment for critically ill infants during air medical transport, ensuring an added layer of protection and stability throughout every stage of transfer.
Engineered with advanced carbon fiber technology and vibration-dampening design, the Babypod 20 enables safe and efficient transport of infant patients without the need for a full-sized incubator. Compact and lightweight, it integrates seamlessly into our aircraft while maintaining full visibility and accessibility for our clinical teams.
The acquisition reflects Phoenix Air Medical's ongoing commitment to delivering high-quality, specialized care for even the most vulnerable patients. Our critical care crews are trained and equipped to support infant transports with the highest standards of safety, compassion, and clinical excellence.
With the addition of the Babypod 20, we continues to invest in the tools and technology that ensure every patient—no matter how small—receives the best possible care in the air.
